Beach Party to kick off Reggae Sumfest week of events

 
There is no better way to kick off the Reggae Sumfest week of events than with the official opening and beach party, Ravin' in Rio, set to take place at Aquasol Theme Park tomorrow. "At Ravin' in Rio, Reggae Sumfest will bring the World Cup finals like no other event, patrons will be treated to a big-screen live broadcast of the competition's final match. It will be just as if we were in Brazil," said Johnny Gourzong, executive director of Summerfest Productions.

Sumfest sponsor, Digicel, gives away 300 tickets for festival

As anticipation heightens for the 'Greatest Reggae Show on Earth', some 300 Sumfest faithfuls will get to attend the show courtesy of diamond sponsor, Digicel. Three hundred customers received a ticket each from the telecommunications giant to attend one night of the show as a part of its activities leading up to the three-night festival. All customers had to do was purchase the Huawei Ascend Mate handset between June 20 and July 10.

FAME DJs to invade Bikini Sundayz

ZIP 103 FM's zip-jocks had their turn last month. Now Bikini Sundayz, scheduled for Ultra Beach Club in Portmore, St Catherine, will see what rival radio station FAME FM can do this Sunday.
